Inspired?

I have set an intention to write a Body Prompt every week – which hasn’t been happening of late. While discussing this with my Master Mind group, one of the members asked me if it’s hard to write a blog post every week. My response was, “What’s hard is living and being in my life, and my work, in a way that I am inspired so that I actually have something that I want to say.” I’m not sure I’ve ever said that out loud to another person – and if I have, I’m not sure I was listening! I really heard it this time and it has been rolling around in my awareness asking for further consideration.

The question becomes, “How do we live in an engaged and present way, so that life is simply, inspired?” In other words, if we move through our day (week, month, year) on auto-pilot, then we probably have not noticed the myriad ways in which being alive has offered a snippet of revelation, a flash of brilliance, an engulfing emotion, an intense sensation, an unexpected interaction, a sweet release, a dynamic exertion – and not just in the extraordinary moments but in the mundane as well. Is it possible that inspiration is everywhere, all the time? Can we be available to the creative muse – also known as life – to arouse our senses and awaken our enthusiasm?

Take a moment at the beginning of each day to close your eyes, take a deep breath or 2 (or twenty), and soften the edges of your mind. Now, imagine that you can open from the center of your spine, the depth of your heart and the pores of your skin to the possibility of life, today, as moment after moment of divine inspiration.

I’d love to hear about what inspires you and how you inspire others . . .

To Your Body, Carol
