Yamuna Body Rolling

ballroll

Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR), a revolutionary approach to health and fitness, consists of a series of routines using various size balls. Going far beyond random movement and stretch, YBR allows you to work specific muscles in detail to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion. YBR has the potential to create positive, permanent change in the body. Yamuna Body Rolling: stimulates bone, reeducates muscle, relieves stress, creates space in joints, lengthens the spine, increases circulation, frees body restrictions and promotes healing.

What is it? It’s Health, Fitness & Massage rolled into one! Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) is a revolutionary approach to health and fitness using balls designed exclusively for this practice. It consists of a series of routines using 6 to 10-inch balls. Unlike other ball exercises, YBR goes far beyond random movement and stretch. It allows you to work specific muscles in detail, to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion. YBR has the potential to create positive, permanent changes in the body.

Yamuna Body Rolling:

  • Stimulates bone
  • Reeducates muscle
  • Relieves stress
  • Creates space in joints and spine
  • Increases circulation
  • Frees body restrictions

How does it work? Yamuna Body Rolling works the way a hands-on practitioner works – only using a ball. The ball replaces hands as it moves on muscles to stretch them, dislodge tension and discomfort, increase blood flow, and promote healing.

Lying over the ball, you literally roll your body out almost like dough, stretching and elongating your muscles. The YBR routines follow specific sequences that match the body’s own logic and order. Starting where each muscle begins, at its origin, you roll toward where it attaches to the point called its insertion.

The Yamuna Body Rolling practice has earned respect from chiropractors, physical therapists, Yoga instructors, Pilates and Gyrotonic instructors, massage therapists, body workers, fitness instructors and dance teachers across the country.

Who’s a good body rolling candidate? You! Whether you’re young or old, a fitness buff or a couch potato, rolling with a YBR Ball can help you feel better, more vibrant, more alive! You’ll have a “ball” toning, strengthening, and realigning your body. This cutting-edge fitness practice will make you leaner, longer and stronger. Yamuna Body Rolling also prevents injury and heals many structural body problems. It’s a workout, a massage, and a chiropractic session all in one!

Questions and Answers:

  1. What is Yamuna Body Rolling? Yamuna Body Rolling is a relaxing, energizing workout that elongates, tones, strengthens and aligns the body. It feels like an incredible deep tissue massage.
  2. How does Yamuna Body Rolling keep me in shape? By working all the muscles of the body, you are increasing your overall circulation, freeing up muscle restrictions, improving range of motion, flexibility, and posture, and developing core strength.
  3. Will Yamuna Body Rolling help me to lose weight? Yamuna Body Rolling stimulates all the nerve roots along the spine. These nerve roots stimulate our vital organs and glands, which encourage lymphatic drainage and helps some people lose weight by increasing the metabolism. Though you might not lose weight, you will definitely lose inches. Elongating and freeing muscles improves your posture so you have a longer, leaner look.
  4. When is the best time to do Yamuna Body Rolling? You can do Yamuna Body Rolling first thing in the morning to get rid of morning stiffness, or you can do it before bedtime to get rid of your daily stresses. Yamuna Body Rolling can help you to sleep better. Also you can fit it in at any time during the day.
  5. If I only have 15 minutes, which is the best routine to do? Do the routine that works each side of the spine. This stimulates all the nerve roots and is terrific for the entire body.
  6. Can I use any type of ball? Yamuna Body Rolling works best when practiced with smaller balls specifically designed by Yamuna. With smaller balls between 6 and 10 inches in diameter, you can work the entire body with much more detail and feel the results from the very first session.
  7. Is Yamuna Body Rolling a replacement for my other physical activities? Yamuna Body Rolling will complement any type of physical activity and can also be a great workout on its own.
